The Notre Dame Cathedral was built and completed in 1880 by French with a capacity of 1,200 people, become one of the architectural icons of HCMC. Above the main entrance, opposite to the altar of the church was piano steeple, they put the pipe organ there – is said to be one of the oldest two piano in Vietnam. The piano is handmade, designed to sound big enough for the church to hear.
In the middle of the two bell tower, it’s a giant clock made in Switzerland in 1887, Brand RA, about 2.5 meters high, 3 meters long and more than a meter high cross , more than 1 ton. The clock quite rudimentary, old but it works pretty exact.
