Hanoi capital is one of the most visited of the Vietnam popular destinations, is the beautiful capital city of Vietnam, sprawling in the banks of the Red River with French colonial heritage. After visiting Hanoi, we explore Halong Bay – This 2 day cruise into the legendary Halong Bay includes various activities that will indeed provide a truly unique experience. It’s all terrific!
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival Pick up at the airport and transfer to hotel in Old Quarter of Hanoi. If the time permits, there is the chance for you to join our 2 options of our ½ day Deluxe Group Tours:
Hanoi Half Day Walking Tour: Walking to the local market, the old quarter. Enjoy the way to make cachet (stamp) – 13h30: Pick up at hotel then we start our lovely walk into the old quarter of Hanoi. First we stop to visit Ngoc Son Temple – the temple located on an island at north end of Hoan Kiem Lake connected to the mainland by a red bridge. After that we will walk a short distance to the lively Hang Be Market – one of the densest markets in Hanoi. Then we will continue our walk to the Historic House on Ma May Street. We will then walk down the busy streets, passing stores and street stands selling their wares. Stop at Hang Quat Street, where we have chance to see and order the stamp maker. The walking tour will continue to the largest St. Joseph’s Cathedral which was built by the French in 1887. The walking ended up at a cafe overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake where we will have a chance to relax and reflect all that we have seen today.
Option 2: Bat Trang Ceramic Village: Walk on the narrow roads which were said to prevent thieves or strangers to village in the old time. Learn how to make the products on the simple machine system 8h00: Pick up at hotel then head 10 km northeast to Bat Trang Village. The village is famous for producing the best pottery in Vietnam and art produced here is shipped all over the world. First we will visit Bat Trang Pagoda – where the locals worship the ancient artists who formed the famous village. Then we walk down the narrow roads to the house/workshop where we will have a chance to see some of the workshop to experience how they make their products from the beginning to the final. Then we will explore the village further and have a class on throwing a pot on a potter’s wheel that we will be able to take home as a souvenir. Last we will heat to the market at the front of the village to see all of the different beautiful ceramics that the village produces. Then we return to Hanoi for lunch. Overnight in Hanoi;
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong bay 8h00 – 08h30 Pick-up at hotel and start the 3 hour-and-a-half drive to Halong Bay.
12h00 – 12h30 Embark on Oriental Sails followed by cruise briefing.
13h00 – 15h30 Savor a delectable lunch as Oriental Sails cruise further along the limestone islands of Fighting Cock, Turtle Island …
15h30 – 17h30 Visit and kayak along the hidden parts of the bay.
17h30 – 19h00 Go swimming, snap photos or just relax as the sun starts to set.
19h00 Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests or just laze around. Overnight on board.
Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B,L) 06h30 – 07h00 Start your day with swimming, exercise or photo hunt
7h00 – 11h00 Have breakfast at sunrise. Visit Ti Top Island, cruise to Ba Hang Fishing Village, pass Dog Rock and Incense Burner, and then head back to the Harbor. Have lunch around 11h00
12h00 – 16h30 Transfer back to Hanoi and trip finishes at the hotel around 16h30
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 4: Hanoi departure (B) Free till pick up and transfer to airport. End Trip
