Hue Imperial City is really quiet and ancient that suits people who is interested in history, tombs, pagodas and dream-like landscape. Therefore, it makes a nice stop on your journey to discover Hue’s cultural and historical richness. And Thien Mu pagoda (also known as Linh Mu Pagoda) is an icon of Vietnam and as potent a symbol of Hue as the Citadel.
Thien Mu is located on the north of the Perfume river around 3km west from Hue’s Old Citadel. It opens daily from early in the morning till 17:00pm. We would like to suggest tourists should come here early in the morning to see the fresh beginning of daily activities in the pagoda, or at sunset when the sky and the river combines to create a picturesque scene.
Avoid wearing tight and short clothes like short skirts when visiting the pagoda, since entrance to the main hall Dai Hung is not allowed for those wearing these costumes. Also, don’t make noise when visiting the pagoda. You can visit this site on 1-2 hours and need a tour guide to know exactly interesting information about it. We would love to give you our beautiful photos about it:
You can book a Hue Deluxe Group Tour if you also want to explore Hue Citadel.
